Village of Puerto Morelos

Very safe and bordered by the second longest coral reef in the world, this charming typical fisherman village is a non commercial heaven locating right in the earth of the Riviere Maya, half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen (less then 20 minutes from the airport). The village has kilometers of deserted beaches (there are no large waves because of the proximity of the reef) as well as all the commodities and needs of the traveller looking for something different.

Discover the real Mexican life!

In Puerto Morelos, you will find all you need : automated teller machines, a karaoke bar, sailboard rentals, a botanical garden, a crocodile farm, currency exchange house, Internet Café, grocery stores, fruit and vegetable market (wednesday), fresh fish daily from the local fisherman, handicraft market, hammock factory (make you own hammock), Corrida (every two Sundays) laundromat, French and English speaking doctor, drugstore and shuttle bus to Cancun (25 minutes - $).
